It has been snowing two days in Ukraine. Drifts sometimes reach up to 2m. Roads are closed, local and domestic flights. The shops do not have bread. Doctors can not get to the patients. For this storm caught us again without warning… But we did not give up and hope that everything will be fine.

GOOD MORNING; OUR ROADS!
Katja writes from Piski
Victor and Nadya can’t ge tto the work because the roads are closed.
You can come to work only if you can fly. Only the central road is open , the other roads are covered with snow until your knees and in some places on to your hip.

On Saturday 23.3 Kyiv city administration declared a state of emergency due to a heavy snowfall. The city was hit by about 50 cm or 40 million tons of snow on Friday, more than it usually receives per month during this season, the Kiev City Administration said. Ukrainian International Boryspil Airport is out of work, as snow and ice are still being cleared from the airport’s runways.
Over 2,000 trucks were trapped in snow near Kiev and some 3,000 cars in seven regions in the northeast of the country were affected by the snowstorm. The local meteorological station said the cold weather and snowfall, which have driven temperatures down by 10 degrees Celsius, will likely last until Monday.
